Lighting the hillside by DragonWolfACe Lighting the hillside by DragonWolfACe
Its 4:40 in the morning as a northbound BNSF freight lights the hillside at Marcel, just on the other side of the hill of the famed Tehachapi loop. This is a 3 1/2 minute long exposure, capturing the entire train, beginning to end.

I always liked trains and night photography. I took a picture like this a little while back, but it was just pulling up to the station, and I only had the shutter open for 9 seconds. This is really cool though. Great job.

P.S., I also thought that the train was coming out of the tunnel due to the excess of light, but then I couldn't explain the light at the first bend since it lit up the whole side of the hill.

Which direction was the train moving? Was it coming out of the tunnel, or going into? The shadows of the trees make me think it was going into the tunnel, but the light around the tunnel makes me think it was coming out of it.
