Owosso:1950

Nickle Plate Road 765 backs off of the turntable to dump her ashes as Pere Marquette 1225 sits, dead, watching. In an hour, the Saturday night photo session would begin. Unfortently, 4449 would be unable to attend the night shoot due to splitting a switch.

I was the only one to do this shot on this day and aside from the fencing, could very well look like 1950.

Theres plenty left, just not nearly as what there once was. In fact, Norfolk Southern is installing a brand new turntable at Inman yard in Atlanta and Jerry Jacobson is installing one for his "Age of Steam" site.

All the engines that attended Owosso were wearing their Sunday best...so to speak. Considering that the Pere Marquette engine busted a few tubes just a few months earlier, I'd say the condition was mostly cosmetic. To complete the 1950 shot, I'd recomend you grainy up the picture a bit. :)
