NS C32 Leetsdale

Big power for a small train.

A SD70M-2 and C40-8 team up to haul seven loaded gondolas as they roll towards Conway PA.

This is Norfolk Southern C32...which ran from Allenport, PA to Mingo Junction, OH. At one time this use to be a 60 car train. A large block of coke from the huge Clairton coke works and large block of coil cars. When Weirton Steel closed, the coke wasnt needed. The final blow came a little over a year ago when the finishing mill at Allenport was closed.
