Next stop, Gotham by DragonWolfACe Next stop, Gotham by DragonWolfACe
Thirteen hours prior, the Pennsy Saint Louisian departed Saint Louis at 6PM. It is 649AM the following morning, a minute before the scheduled arrival at Pittsburghs Penn station in Pittsburgh, PA according to the June 1956 timetable.

The early summer day is dark and wet as the train prepares to make its 25 minute stop as a Alco RS3 takes off with a local commuter train.

The large cement building in the background is Pittsburghs post office. The rotunda to the right of the PRR E8 is unique to Penn station.

Pencil drawing, 20 hours.

This is fantastic, especially the persepective. You've done a great job. One thing I would say is that there's perhaps a lack of contrast to the image, deep blacks and pure whites. Its a mistake I always make myself.

Very detailed work, but I miss a bit of dept. everything is drawn on the same level of details and tones.
Good composition and knowledge of proportions though.

I feel the same way too, I faded it a bit for depth but not nearly enough. Especially considering this is to look like a rainy day.

maybe it needs a bit more darkness then to give it the sad rainfeeling? I'm not sure either how to solve it.

The buildings should of been a lot lighter with less detail. A pretty easy fix I think.

This is amazing. A rotten shame the current Penn Station there is a shell of its former self.

Also...what if the Pennsy had been able to do one of its original plans? Originally, it was going to extend THE WIRES to Pittsburg!
