Norfolk Southern heritage loco 8103 in the Norfolk and Western hamburger scheme leads its first revenue train in shiny spotless paint. Its only fitting that first train is a 746 symboled coal drag as it climbs the grade in western Pennsylvania at Highland. To this day, it has not made a visit back north.
Most excellent! Catch and pic!
Excellent composition. My first instinct was that you shot too soon. But after a bit of consideration, I'd say that this shot is perfect, the trailing hoppers visible behind the power makes a better statement than if the 8103 had been in full frame. Excellent job.
Love that livery.
That's a sweet f***ing shot, dude! I haven't shot this yet this is deff. a favorite for me!
One of my favorite NS heritage units. Good ol' N&W.
She's currently working 'home rails' in West Virginia along with PRR #8102.
