CSX train Q016 heads east for Cumberland, MD and points east as it races ahead of a nasty thunderstorm at Foley, PA. Foley is a wonderfully quiet place literally in the middle of no where with no cell phone service. The road was rough at one time but is pretty good now. I camped out in my car for the night with visions of being attacked by Sasquatch but that never came to be. Then a nasty line of thunderstorms came at dawn and I became legitimately concern after lightning struck not 100 feet from me. But all was good, the line cleared, it became sunny, and CSX ran a fleet of trains. Ive only been really concerned for my safety but a few times in my life but this was one of them. I had NO place to seek shelter other than my car.
I know when driving at night it can feel like the car is reaching out into the distance, probing the darkness with its headlights. But I had never seen it actually photographed. Very fine shot. And I'm glad you lived to tell about it. Steve
