Description
Dusk on the transcon. Old ATSF signals stand guard at Hodgkin at the east end of the large UPS terminal at Willow Springs, 15 miles west of Chicago.
Like any photo, this one has a story of its own. My friends car battery died and we were stuck here way past when we would of otherwise left. While waiting on AAA, I liked how the sky was turning so I took a few shots. A few minutes later, a guy came down and jumped us, I then called AAA and told them we didnt need them. The shot was worth it.
The cantilever signal bridge was replaced soon after this.

Instant fav! And one of my favorite spots...one can sure take beautiful pictures here at dusk. I need to get back there but I've been catching so much cool stuff at LaVergne on the racetrack. By the way last time I was there the Hodgkins police questioned me.
