Roaring across the trestle

A Bessemer and Lake Erie ore train rolls across the trestle at Osgood, PA with more minerals for the hungry furnaces at Braddock, PA. This is one of the longest trestles on the B&LE system with the exception of the Allegheny river crossing.

And what looks like a burnt out head light on the lead motor is a gyro light that has all since been replaced with normal headlights. The train would soon stop for a crew change to take it further south to be interchanged with the Union Railroad.
