Description
Roundhouses and steam locomotives, an icon of railroading of days past. Here we see the biggest of the big for the Baltimore and Ohio, a 2-8-8-4 Yellowstone class EM-1, being serviced. Note the man next to the loco...the drivers dwarfing him. Next to it sits a much smaller 2-8-0. The two are being depicted at the Benwood, WV roundhouse, but could very easily pass for anywhere a EM1 ran on the B&O. Benwood was the last stomping ground for the massive brutes before being replaced by diesels.
The EM1 being one of my favorite locomotives...it is not the first time Ive drawn these beautiful monsters.

Once again, I'm in awe of this piece of artwork. Once again, you captured the engines quite well, please keep it up.
