Since Ive been scanning my drawings, Ive been searching for EASY ways to get rid of the paper noise. I have yet to find a EASY way! This is an experiment with nothing other than smudging the entire drawing bit by bit and took nearly 2 hours to do. I attempted gaussian blur with unsatisfactoring results and even messed with levels and brightness/contrast.

Smudging it all then playing with the levels and brightness/contrast has the best results but is in no way easy or quick.

Fog, mist, steam, ciders, and smoke mix in a dawn view of Baltimore and Ohio's Benwood, WV yard. The yard is alive with an ecletic array of motive power including B&Os largest, a 2-8-8-4 EM1 taking on fuel to a S1 2-10-2 Big Six to a P3 4-6-2 Pacific to a T3 4-8-2 Mountain.

These were the glory days for Benwood with a train count roughly of 100 daily. 100! Today, Benwood sees a local that interchanges with Wheeling and Lake Erie 5 days a week and a coal drag twice a week.

Long gone are steam, Passenger trains, local runs, mine runs, and freights. Gone is the roundhouse, the turntable, and many many crews that was Benwoods home terminus. But alas, there is some good! Gone is the pollution, the smell, and the noise.
